Pariteia (2007)

  • PARITEIA project was promoted by the International European Movement and cofinanced by the European Commission within the Community Framework Strategy on Gender Equality (2001–2005). PARITEIA aimed to establish a European citizenship based on the active participation of women and men in all social, political and professional activities and which also aims to create the conditions for positive changes within personal and collective culture. Pariteia is in line with the EU objectives on the issues of parity and equality as it proposes to foster, in a mainstreaming perspective, the active participation of men in developing gender equality in the global policies of European citizenship. One of the activities coordinated by FD is the “Charter of Intents for Equal Citizenship” on equal participation of men and women in the responsibilities and opportunities. www.pariteia.org
